BWiD meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 6-7pm to discuss issues of interest and importance to us.
Topic: "Finding and using your voice to become a leader in tech by using data"
Speakers: Dr. Teresa Vasquez & Trinity Terry
Dr. Teresa Vasquez is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusivity in the tech world. Dedicated to supporting and investing in diverse technical creators, she helps them showcase their talents and passions in the media space. Dr. Vasquez believes in the transformative power of technology when combined with personal passions, and she is committed to crafting legacies and reshaping the future of tech, one diverse creator at a time.
Trinity Terry is a dynamic talent, known for her dual expertise as a musician and software engineer. With a passion for creativity and technology, she combines soulful melodies with innovative tech solutions. As a co-founder of Repped in Tech, Trinity is dedicated to empowering diverse creators in both the arts and technology fields. Her visionary leadership and commitment to inclusivity make her a driving force in reshaping the industry.

Dessert:
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry thawed
2 large apples thinly sliced
2 Tbsp butter softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Unfold puff pastry and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
With a knife, carefully spread butter over the dough, stopping about 1/2 inch from the edge of the dough.
Sprinkle the dough with brown sugar, stopping about 1/2 inch from the edge of the dough.
Place apples over the dough in a line, overlapping as you go (also leaving a 1/2 inch border).
Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon sugar.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until puff pastry is puffed and golden brown.
