Brilliant Women in Data Science met for the first time on July 25th, 2022 with a great turn out and discussion!
I want to offer a special thank you to IMAN ALODAH
for hosting BWiD for the past 4 years!
... and for leading this community so very well.
Many many thanks for your time, effort, and dedication. You have touched many lives in such a valuable way. Please know how much you are appreciated!
After taking a few months off,
We're kicking off Brilliant Women in Data once again In Person at Vaco in Brentwood on November 4th, 2026 from 5-7pm.
As announced at our previous Nashville Data Nerds monthly meetup, I'm excited to let you know that ...
Monica McConnell, Sr. Digital Lead, Logistics & Customer Supply/Supply Chain at Mars Pet Care has agreed to take over the hosting and discussion facilitation duties going forward.
As from the very beginning ...
The plan is to meet monthly to discuss issues of interest and importance to those gathered with possibilities including:
- Getting to know each other
- Discussion with a focus on interests of this community of Women in (or preparing for) Data Professions
- Learning more about potential employer/company culture
- Managing "up" and "down"
- Providing opportunities for 1:1 conversations beyond the group mtg
- Support/networking/mentoring
- ... and following the interests and needs of the group
I hope you'll make plans to join the conversation on November 4th!
