The future of the Cassandra project and what it means for cloud native data

Join us for our monthly town with the person who wrote the book on "Managing Cloud Native Data on Kubernetes". Patrick McFadin is VP of Developer Relations at DataStax and one of the leading experts on Apache Cassandra and data modeling techniques. He previously served as Chief Evangelist for Apache Cassandra and consultant for DataStax, where he helped build some of the largest and most exciting deployments in production

Recently I was giving a talk ant an Apache event about the next 10 years of Cassandra. The main driver for our roadmap are big macro trends happening in cloud and cloud native data. I'm going to share the background but then use that to discuss the future of Cloud Native data as a whole. You might be happy to know, this is NOT and AI talk.

Patrick is an Apache Cassandra committer and Apache Software Foundation (ASF) member, currently working on AI + Cassandra initiatives at DataStax.
