First Session: Pillars of a Great Cloud Architecture – Maria Zakourdaev (30 Minutes, Hebrew)

In this session, we will discuss the meaning of the term "Cloud-Native". We will see how traditional application architecture is different from Cloud-Native architecture, and how traditional data pipelines are different from Cloud-Native data pipelines.

Second Session: 60 Minutes, 15 Operators, One Execution Plan – Guy Glantser (60 Minutes, Hebrew)

In this session, we will learn the art and science of query tuning. We will master the number-one technique in query tuning – execution plan analysis. In 60 minutes, we will execute a single statement, and analyze its execution plan thoroughly. Along the way, we will learn about different cardinalities, statistics, spool operators, temporary tables, memory grants, and much more.
After a few iterations and various query tuning techniques, we will improve the query performance together and reduce its execution time from 2 minutes to less than a second.
By the end of the session, you will know how to apply those techniques by yourself and improve query performance in various ways.

This is a hybrid event. It will be held in The Microsoft Reactor in Tel Aviv, and you can also join remotely via Microsoft teams using the following link: Click here to join the meeting
