Traditional Azure SQL architecture VS Azure SQL Hyperscale architecture

In this session we will explain the differences between the two fundamentally different architectures - Traditional Azure SQL and Hyperscale - both of which are currently available as deployment options in Azure SQL PaaS cloud offerings.

The session will cover the difference between the Azure SQL PaaS deployment options, purchasing models, and service tiers, including the Hyperscale service tier. We will explain how Azure SQL Hyperscale achieves scalability, and availability and at the same time reduces costs and improve performance.

The session will cover the four-tier architecture concept and explain the pros and cons of migrating business OLTP traffic to the Azure SQL Hyperscale service tier.

We will cover in detail the recent and future changes which are important and relevant to the Azure SQL Database Hyperscale service tier. Understand the future roadmap for Azure SQL architecture and the direction Microsoft is likely to go from here.
