It still works today, but you can already see the limits — and in a few years, it could put the business in real trouble. That's the situation they faced at Rohlík. They had been running Snowflake through an external provider, but the setup was holding them back. So they made the call to take ownership and manage Snowflake ourselves.
Ondřej Hubálek (Data Engineering Team Lead) will share why Rohlík decided to move away from the externally managed setup, why they believe running Snowflake in-house is the way forward, and how they designed their environment. Vít Gabrhel (Data Engineer) will then talk about the challenges along the journey, the steps that helped overcome them, and the lessons we've learned so far.
