Modelling: a focus on experiment data

Hosted By

Details
Dr. Catherine Ojo, a specialist in neuroinformatics from the University of Edinburgh, is speaking on data modelling, using examples from magnetic resonance spectroscopy and other areas of current experimental research.
Determining the model or functional form that produced a series of experimental or industrial unit data requires a level of rigour that we sometimes ignore. This talk will focus on my modelling experience; what I consider to be critical steps, and lessons from mistakes. I will talk about the effects of experiment and project design mistakes, and why it is important to invest time in both. Basically, I will be discussing what I have learnt about the art of modelling.
