Mastering Data Engineering

We are excited to invite you to another coding Saturday morning. This time, we will develop data pipelines with Apache Airflow. Come to network with data enthusiasts, share ideas, projects and advance your programming skills. We recommend bringing a fully charged laptop, pre-installed python and docker.

10:50 – 11:40 Building maintainable data pipelines with Airflow, Postgres and Docker by Reinis Bekeris
11:40 –12: 30 Networking

Reinis Bekeris is a Risk Manager in Agricultural Commodity sector with experience and passion for data engineering. He explores application of tools for ETL or ELTL data for analytics.

During his talk, he will present how to package data extraction and database setup (Postgres DB) with Apache Airflow, using Docker and Docker Compose. Getting financial data from API (cftc, opendatanetwork).
