Douglas will be talking about how Personio is improving data collection by using Iceberg tables in Snowflake. We’ll explain how we carefully handle customer data, following strict security and privacy rules. This includes using Spark to process data first, so we avoid storing sensitive information into our analytics platform. We’ll talk about the different ways you can organise data in Snowflake, compare how Iceberg tables perform against regular tables, and show how we set this up using code with Terraform. We’ll also share the current progress of our project, the challenges we’ve faced, and what we’ve learned so far.
