We are holding the Machine Learning Contest Kick-off on Saturday February 28, 2015. The goal is to demonstrate how data science and engineering can improve decisions and quality of life to the public.

Party and award ceremony will be held on Saturday December 5, 2015. Keynote, data science speakers and networking. Award ceremony shall be livestreamed for contestants unable to attend. Winners may collect awarded prize from any geographic location conditioned on proper contact information disclosed.

Contestants will compete to create the best mobile phone app to be made free to the public to make best possible ski venue and route/time decision to get to the ski slopes. Any variety of data sources and data science techniques may be used. Contest is open and free to any and all contestants – regardless of geographic location.

A panel of judges shall award USD $10,000 for the best app. Additional prizes will be awarded.

Contestant data sources and techniques shall be published on the website for others to review and learn at conclusion.
