Description
PyMC is a probabilistic programming library for Python that supports the building of Bayesian models. PyMC fits models to data using Markov chain Monte Carlo methods. In this talk I will introduce PyMC and introduce a personal dataset. Then I will use PyMC to fit this dataset to a succession of Bayesian models, starting simple, and gradually introducing higher fidelity models. This is a practitioner's talk, not about Bayesian theory or about how Markov chain Monte Carlo works, but about how to use PyMC to build useful models.

Speaker Bio
Dave Bridgeland is President of Hanging Steel Productions, a one-man consulting firm applying models to sales and business development challenges. Dave has three daughters, who have expressed some skepticism about whether he is a real data scientist. They may be right; you be the judge.
