Meetup: Hull Tactical Market Prediction Competition!

This session we are going to look at the Hull Tactical - Market Prediction challenge on Kaggle. This is a time series competition where the goal is to generate a weekly signal (Up or Down) for the S&P 500 Index. Being able to accurately forecast market direction is a core problem in finance and tactical asset allocation.

Please try to read the competition overview or, preferably, try to enter the competition. These discussions are at their best when most of the people have spent time with the topic beforehand. The goal of the event is for us to all meet and learn from each other.

Who is this meeting for?
Anyone who is interested in Data Science and Machine Learning. We aim to have the discussion at an intermediate to advanced level, but we are welcoming to people of all levels.

What is the discussion format?
We give everyone a chance to share what they have learned and ask questions about where they got stuck. And for those who did not look at materials beforehand, or would just like to listen, they are welcome to pass their turn.
