Very high level: Data science using satellite imagery

Details

This is a joint event together with the Blue Yonder Meetup https://www.meetup.com/blue-yonder-meetup

In this online-only session Anze Zupanc ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/anze-zupanc-b21b17a5/ ) from Sinergise is giving a talk about data science with satellite data.

Abstract:
Satellite imagery is ubiquitous. Every one of us is getting more and more exposed to satellite imagery either through documentaries on the TV, news in official media, or social media platforms. Being able to see our planet from a distance changes our views of the Earth and how it is changing. We can observe seasonal changes, the devastation caused by natural disasters, or the consequences of climate change. In my talk, I’ll give an overview of tools and services that should help anyone get started to utilize the vast amount of free satellite imagery.

About Blue Yonder Data Science Club:
Data Science Club is an internal meeting series for the Blue Yonder data scientists. But hey, sharing is caring, so we make that series public!
