Found this interesting paper (https://lnkd.in/gwCXM9Pw) which attempts to solve the following shortcomings of traditional RAG.

📉 Loss of structure when tables are flattened
🧠 Lack of multi step + holistic document reasoning

I will be doing a Technical Paper Review called "TableRAG – Smarter RAG for Tables & Text", where I will walk through this paper and also give a Demo of the application.
