Abstract:
Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing computing by producing non-deterministic outputs—a trait previously unique to human systems. This empowers AI to solve problems in unprecedented ways, but it also introduces novel security challenges that defy easy quantification and control. In this talk, we explore how generative AI's unpredictability mirrors human behavior and argue that we can adapt risk mitigation strategies designed for human actors to secure AI systems. By drawing these parallels, we uncover viable approaches to manage the inherent uncertainties of generative AI, paving the way for its safe and responsible deployment across various domains.
