Fireside Chat with BettyAnn Chodkowski: Still Learning After 30 Years: Lessons from Building with AI Agents
Facilitated by Jason King
Abstract:
BettyAnn is a data scientist and machine learning engineer with 30+ years of experience taking projects from inception to deployment. She has developed models that replace subjective reviews, trained neural networks on medical images to inform drug discovery, and built pipelines that turn months of analysis into days.
Working with Claude Code, she recently created a web app that tracks and forecasts a friend's thru-hike along the Appalachian Trail. Building with AI agents is both amazing and frustrating, and it has reshaped how she works. She will talk about what changed, and why.
