PROJECT IDEAS:
1. AI: A New Era in Software Development
Project by: Carsten Herbert Lawrenz
Writing code has remained roughly the same since 1945. With the advent
of AI tools like ChatGPT and CoPilot, it is changing quickly and drastically. This Demo will show how a polyglot project, created before ChatGPT, can be efficiently replicated with AI, demonstrating a significant reduction in development time.
2. Pixel Diagnose
Project by: Michael Gerloff, Svenja Niehus & Katja Dittrich
Radiologists need a lot of time and experience to interpret medical images in a correct way and infer diagnoses from them. Pixel Diagnose is a tool to help radiologists navigate the huge amount of available data. It aids them in the differential diagnosis process."
3. AI Font Generator
Project By: Christian Boris Niederreuther and Johannes Schall
Our goal is to create a tool capable of completing or generating font tables. Initially, the model should be capable of completing existing font tables with characters (e.g., ö, ß) that are commonly absent in primarily English font sets. In subsequent iterations, the model should also be able to generate font tables from scratch.
4. NLP Driven E-Commerce Analytics
Project by: Ant Aydar
The project aims to develop an innovative e-commerce brand management application. Utilizes NLP to process and respond to user queries. Integrates AI for efficient data storage and management. Aims to be a cutting-edge AI product in the e-commerce domain.
5. PersonaPix
Project by: Maryam Asadzadeh Kaljahi and Milosz Paul Rosinski
PersonaPix revolutionizes the perception of personality traits from images, targeting applications in social media, business, and dating. By integrating psychological personality modeling with computer vision techniques like contrastive learning and aesthetic image analysis, it offers an insightful analysis of visual cues. This innovative tool empowers users with enhanced self-awareness and enriched digital impact of their visual presence.
6. Career Planning App
Project by: David Kiss
Based on vacancies from various sources (Xing, Indeed, LinkedIn) this app supports lateral movers (ie, people who want to switch fields) by answering questions like:
- What do jobs in my target field pay? In which cities/regions of Germany are most jobs in my target field (eg, “Data Science”) concentrated?
- What are the most requested skills in my target field? (this is an NLP task).
7. Prototype of a new mobile OS
Project by: Matias Villaverde
The project aims to provide a tool that integrates easily with the existing databases that power every mobile app and exposes an LLM interface to interact with their data. Run an open-source LLM on the device to interact with your product's database. Query your mobile database with natural language without using OpenAI; it is secure, encrypted, and free.
8. ArtSpeak Simplifier
Project by: Mikk Madisson
It is an innovative application that enables users to scan exhibition press texts, typically written in International Art English—a unique and often criticized jargon prevalent in the contemporary art world, noted for its complex, abstract vocabulary and a style distinct from everyday language. Using a smartphone camera, the app simplifies these texts into a single, easily comprehensible sentence. Additionally, ArtSpeak Simplifier analyzes the accompanying image (often a central piece of the exhibition) and succinctly describes it in one sentence.
Mark your calendars for December 5th and get ready to be inspired and educated in the realms of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Looking forward to having you all at the event.
