This week we're lucky to have Kar Heng Lee (https://www.facebook.com/karheng) introduce us to Scilab. Mr Lee heads the TBSS GRoup here in Vietnam and in Singapore, and is and expert in Wave Radar and coastal radar systems.
Scilab (from Scilab Enterprises (https://www.facebook.com/scilabenterprises)) is open source software for numerical computation. It's an essential part of a Data Science programmers toolkit. More than just a free alternative to Matlab, Scilab 5.5.0 boasts "extended functionalities for GUI creations and best rendering of user interfaces"
