Xavier, ex-Chief Data Scientist of DataRobot and co-founder of FeatureByte, brings forth insights on how recent innovations are revolutionizing feature engineering and reshaping the future of data science.
During this talk, Xavier will unveil how feature platforms are streamlining the creation, deployment, and management of both traditional features and features relying on LLMs whilst dramatically reducing their latency and compute resources.
In addition, the talk will explore how GenAI already offers opportunities to build more intelligent feature ideation solutions.

Bio:
Xavier is a visionary Data Scientist and co-founder of FeatureByte, a company committed to empowering data enthusiasts and streamlining feature pipelines. Before co-founding FeatureByte, Xavier ranked as the #1 Kaggle competitor in 2012-2013 and pioneered Auto-ML at DataRobot. There, he decisively shaped and executed the Data Science roadmap in his role as Chief Data Scientist. With a rich history spanning over 25 years in the data domain, Xavier started his career as an actuary in the insurance industry, later making a pivotal shift to Data Science.
