We will keep the group fairly small so that you can benefit from the possibility of addressing your questions/ concerns during the workshop.

The training program includes the following modules:

Module I - Introductory issues

Interpretation and application of key GDPR terms; an indication of when the processing of personal data is illegal. Explanation of rights granted to individuals in the industry in which the training participants operate. Implementation of legal obligations incumbent on data controllers and data processors.

Module II - Legal basis for the processing of personal data

Legal basis for the processing of personal data by the data controller. Documentation which should be adapted and lead to the proper processing of personal data.

Module III - Organizational challenges

New responsibilities for planning the internal structure of the data processing system.
Participants will find out who, why and how should ensure the creation and further coordination of preparations in their organization. Explanation of the purpose and content of the Register of Data Processing Activities, Impact Assessment for Personal Data and the role of the Data Protection Officer.

Module IV - Documentation

Participants will receive practical tips that should be followed when writing documents and designing procedures involving the processing of personal data.
Register of Data Processing Activities, Register of Authorizations, Data Security Policy, consent form, request to cease / suspend / limit processing at the request of an individual.

Module V - Cooperation with third parties

Legal and organizational risks related to entrusting the processing of personal data to third parties, with particular emphasis on outsourcing, external IT services and software.

Presenter

The workshop will be provided to you by experienced business lawyer Joanna Mamczur, LL.M., MBA.

Joanna Mamczur is an attorney-at-law with over 12 years of international experience in business advisory services, working with corporate clients, financial institutions as well as SMEs and startups. She holds Master of Laws degrees from France (Paris), Poland and LL.M. Finance degree from Germany (the Institute for Law and Finance - Goethe Universitaet in Frankfurt am Main) as well as an Executive MBA degree.

She has been a speaker at conferences and trainings on the GDPR/ personal data protection, including major events in IT and medical sectors.
Within the scope of her professional practice, Joanna Mamczur advises companies how to prepare for the GDPR compliance.
