Are you a database administrator who spends most of his time fixing unexpected incidents? Would you like to have more time to be able to focus on your environment so as to reduce unplanned tasks?

In this session, you will learn the following PowerShell modules:

  • dbatools - is an open-source, community-maintained tool that serves as "SQL Server Management studio on the command line".

  • Pester - this module allows you to create your own tests to make sure your PowerShell code is always running.

  • dbachecks - you already know Pester, so now it's time for his so-called a wrapper that will allow you to verify and monitor your environment.

  • ImportExcel - this free PowerShell module will allow you to create and manage Excel spreadsheets without the need to install Microsoft Office.

There will be a lot of demos and the PowerPoint slides have been kept to an absolute minimum. The aim of the presentation is for the participants to learn about useful tools and the reasons why they can use them in their work.
