Data Umbrella and PyMC are organizing an open source working session:

  • it is online
  • it is free
  • it is beginner-friendly

Registration Form

Estimated time to complete form: 5-10 minutes

  1. All attendees must complete this registration form to join the open source events.
  2. Once you complete this sign-up form, you will be added to the working session event mailing list and receive updates.
  3. We will use the GitHub names to set up pair programming teams.

Registration Form Deadline: rolling basis, or when we run out of space. We encourage you to sign up sooner rather than later.

Joining the Event

These events are focused on increasing the participation of underrepresented persons in open source and returning contributors.
We welcome allies to join who:
(a) Contribute to creating a space that welcomes underrepresented persons. Example: Give women and other underrepresented persons a chance to speak.
(b) Who use inclusive language. Example: folks, you'll , everyone (Do not use: "guys")
(c) Who agree to follow our Code of Conduct.

REQUIREMENTS

2. Must have a GitHub account.
3. PREREQS: Any of these skills will be helpful to have:
GitHub, Git, Markdown, Sphinx
Python, statistics, Bayesian, machine learning

For newcomers: we have options to watch our PyMCon 2020 videos and add video descriptions and timestamps. There are various ways to contribute!
