Datavis Practice

As the end of the year is coming closer it’s time to have a gift to yourself and learn some datavis practice. After a short introduction by our speakers to different technologies we split up in groups of interest and discuss our experiences, hacks, techniques, …. This workshop will be hands on, so bring your laptop if you want.

Elena Erdmann (https://twitter.com/elena_erdmann) is a data scientist at Zeit Online and a data journalism trainer at Journocode. She will speak about data wrangling with Jupyter.

Fidel Thomet (https://twitter.com/fidelthomet) is a data visualizer at the Urban Complexity Lab and will speak about the data handling with the language Julia.

Lennart Hildebrandt (https://twitter.com/len_hil) is a interface designer and data visualizer in Berlin an will speak about creating visualizations with D3 and React or Vue.

Christopher Pietsch (https://twitter.com/chrispiecom) is a digital experiences and data visualization designer. He will speak about the usage of PixiJS for data visualization.
