Join Data Viz DC for our monthly meetup to talk shop with data viz enthusiasts, meet other data visualization professionals, learn more about data visualization tools, tricks, and jobs, and share your own work in a Viz and Tell talk!
This month's talk: How can we make our data analysis and graphs accessible? What are the benefits of reproducibility? Join the creator and maintainer of World Bank DIME Analytics visual libraries to discuss principles and experiences from an economics and development perspective.
About Our Speakers:
Luis Eduardo San Martin is a data coordinator in the World Bank Development Impact Evaluation department, where he develops tools that help ensure the transparency and reproducibility of impact evaluation research. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked as data analyst for the Peruvian government and as research associate for Innovations for Poverty Action.
Mizuhiro Suzuki (Hiro) has a Ph.D. degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison (Agricultural and Applied Economics) and, during his Ph.D. program, worked for DIME as a short-term consultant to contribute to the R Econ Visual Library development. His research field was development economics, and he is currently working for Capital One as a quantitative analyst.
