Bio: Ray Vella is an illustrator who works in the Data Visualization community. A true hybrid, connecting data, journalism and design with the art of storytelling. His ability to create visually rich graphics from intangibles and numbers has found him a niche with corporations seeking to deliver clear and concise messaging. He has also created Data Visualization classes at Columbia University and currently teaches at New York University (NYU) in New York City. Having worked with top journalists, his career has spanned USA Today, BusinessWeek, Bloomberg LP, Mastercard, and he is now working for The Conference Board translating data & information.
