Developing Tools and Data Visualizations for Multilingual Media Monitoring
We'll discuss the challenges in approaching the problem of multilingual media monitoring using machine learning and data visualization techniques. Media monitoring is essential to any organization seeking to gather insight and make important strategic decisions based on what's happening in the world at a given time. Advances in AI and machine learning have enabled the development of automatic systems to facilitate this task, but critical decisions must ultimately be made by expert humans. In this context, data visualization plays the critical role of surfacing the insights present in the data and bridging the gap between machine learning and decision making.
