What we’re about
From infographics to data art, from dashboard to data storytelling. We want to be a place to discuss and learn about all things data visualization, information design, data art, business analytics, and much more.
We want to be a place for everyone interested in data visualization, whether you're a professional, a student, or just curious about the field.
We will host semi-regular events with talks by people from all the different fields of data viz and short hands-on workshops. From design to code we'll address different aspects of data viz in our events. If you've got ideas or would like to give a talk - feel free to get in touch!
We're looking forward to meeting you all!
We kindly ask you to comply with our Code of Conduct online as well as at our events.

We can't believe it, it's been one year of Data Viz MeetUps in Hamburg! ✨
We'll celebrate with a social edition of our MeetUp. Join us at Statista (Holstenwall 5, Hamburg) on June 3rd. Please take a quick look at the information below this description. 👀
But first things first! Our guest speaker! We're excited to learn about data storytelling on social media from Bastian Oetken, the team lead at Statista's story telling design team. In his talk From Data to Story: Effective Data Storytelling Design for Social Media he will cover everything from the right format selection to channel-specific design. He'll tell us all about how to prepare, tell and publish data for social media. We're super excited for his talk!
In the spirit of having a social edition of our talk, we want to get to know YOU in this meetup's interactive part. We'll prepare a little interactive game to get to know one another and everyone's path to data viz. This doesn't mean that you already have to be involved with data visualization or work with it - we're also curious to learn what got you interested in data viz!
Of course, there'll be plenty of time to network and chat with other guests. And thanks to Statista we'll have food and drinks to go with the conversation!
