13th Meetup for Data Viz Enthusiasts!

The upcoming meetup which is now open for RSVP's!

Please note the following news:

• I am very excited that this time we can feature Evelyn Münster to give an extended talk on mental models and data visualization!

• I would like to try out a new element in our meetup: The Data Viz Q & A. The idea is you can bring an interesting visualization (work in progress or data viz seen somewhere) and share. E.g. one slide or one screenshot and can address one question to the audience. One slide/ three minutes per person.

For that element to happen, I need submissions for that part by Sunday feb 16th by meetup message or email (ee2.dev [at] gmail.com).

Ideas and refinement about that are very welcome and encouraged. Please use https://www.meetup.com/Data-Visualization-Meetup-Munich/discussions/ for ideas.

• There is a cap on the number of people for this meetup. So, if you RSVP with Yes, make sure to be there by 7pm (or cancel)

7:00 - 7:30 PM: Come together + drinks/food + chats

7:30 - 7:35 PM: Short intro, Mihael Ankerst

7:35 - 7:40 PM: Stylight

7.40 - 8.30 PM: "5 is not 5 any more - How to explain a complex data world by linking mental models and data visualization" by Evelyn Münster

8.30 - 8.40 PM: (optional): Data Viz Q & A

8.40 - 8.50 PM: The latest and greatest visualizations from around the world, Mihael Ankerst

8:50 - : Get together + networking
