What if you could ask your company’s data a question in everyday language, and get a useful answer back without building a dashboard or writing a query?
That’s the idea behind conversational analytics.
Instead of searching through reports or asking a data team to investigate every question, users can interact with data much more like they would with an AI assistant:
“What’s driving growth this quarter?”
“Which customer segments are performing best?”
“Summarise the key trends in this data.”

At this meetup, we’ll explore how this works in practice using Databricks Genie - Databricks’ conversational analytics experience designed to help people ask questions of business data using natural language.
You don’t need to know Databricks or Genie already to join us.
If you work with data, analytics, BI or AI, or you’re simply interested in how AI is changing the way people interact with business data, this evening is for you.

What we will explore
We’ll look beyond the polished AI demo and discuss what it actually takes to make conversational analytics useful inside an organisation.
That includes how Genie works, what needs to happen behind the scenes before users can reliably ask questions of their data, how teams create the right business context, and how organisations think about trust, governance and adoption.
You’ll also see Genie in action, hear practical perspectives from people working with the technology, and have the opportunity to ask questions directly to Databricks and Datapao practitioners.
