Usergroup Meetup #8 (at twoday in Copenhagen)

Welcome to the #8 meetup of the Databricks User Group Denmark!

We're excited to announce our next meetup and welcome seasoned as well as new members. Your participation and contributions are highly valued, and we hope to see you at the event.

This time we welcome Saugat Mukherjee, Lead Data Engineer at Topsøe, for a talk about leveraging config-based deployments with Terraform to streamline Databricks lakehouse setups, implementing dynamic access management for secure, time-limited data roles, efficiently deploying workflows with Databricks Asset bundles, and building a config-driven alerting framework to proactively notify teams of data anomalies and job failures—equipping you with tools and patterns for smooth, scalable production operations in Databricks.

We will also welcome Simon Whiteley, Data Platform MVP and Databricks Beacon at Advancing Analytics, for a session where we'll run through the Databricks and Fabric platforms and compare the areas that overlap and where our various analytical personas would work. We'll then look at a reference architecture and go through the steps to bring the two together into a single approach, before contrasting some alternative patterns.
