At this Databricks User Group Meetup, we’ll unpack Databricks Lakebase, a fully managed Postgres database, designed to simplify AI and app development by integrating transactional data directly with the data lakehouse without the need for complex and customer ETL pipelines.
Lead Solution Architect, Danny Wong, will provide an overview of Databricks Lakebase and share the types of workloads it’s best suited for and how it enables teams to quickly build applications and deliver insights.
Jarrad Taylor and Claudia Kralik, from Skills SA, will share their experiences building with Lakebase and provide a live demonstration of their RAG-based chatbot/agent called “Poli”.
Most importantly, the event will be an opportunity for local Databricks users and data practitioners to connect, network and share best practices.
