Data Challenges @ Unity + Kontolink

More and more companies have data at their core, and for many companies data has become a strategic resource and a core competitive advantage, thus collecting and using data wisely has become essential. At both Kontolink and Unity, operating at very different scales, data is crucial to staying ahead of competitors.

As data engineers and data scientists, we sometimes do not have examples of prior work related to the task at hand, and end up building our own solutions. Sharing our experiences is vital for our common learning and this evening we are happy to have Unity and Kontolink sharing their experiences.

Lucas will present the journey that Kontolink has been through so far while building their document matching engine - the problems that have arisen and the tools introduced to tackle these problems. The focus will be on data engineering, data modeling, experiment setup, and how to measure quality.

Talk 2: Unity: Data Engineering, Principles and Trends
(Speaker: Jonas Brunsgaard, Engineering Manager @ Unity)
Jonas will address some of the obstacles of running data engineering at scale and reflect on current trends, and proposed solutions.
