Dogfooding is a practice especially popular in the software development industry. It means that a company fully tests its products first on itself, using them as end users would. Effectively, the company “eats its own dog food”. In this talk, we are going to explore what dogfooding is, how it's implemented at Datadog and, more importantly, what are its benefits and limitations.
