7:10PM to 7:30PM - Price My Bike: Predicting Used Bike Prices

Bruno Afonso will walk us through a practical application of how he leveraged Machine Learning to estimate the price of a used bike. Using data gathered from eBay, he will explain how topic modelling significantly improved the estimates of his models. The project was done in Python (scikit-learn), using models such as Random Forest Regression and Latent Dirichlet Allocation for topic modelling.

7:30PM to 8:00PM - Tableau Dashboard for Habitat for Humanity

Oana Ciobanu will walk us through the capstone deliverable for Habitat for Humanity, a Tableau dashboard that she developed to help explore the data that was included in their final report. This amazing work will help the client to uncover insights beyond the bounds of our report, which will prove invaluable to their goal to increase the number of families that they serve.
