Data2Impact Advisory Board
As the volume and complexity of data grow and our geopolitical circumstances becoming more complex, the way we manage and utilise Data is becoming increasingly critical. Our government has progressively recognised the strategic importance of data and the potential risks associated with outsourcing its management to external entities, leading to a growing emphasis on building in-house data management capabilities.
This Data2Impact meeting will provide a topical discussion about the notion of insourcing data management capability, government’s readiness to achieve good outcomes with it and what is needed to successfully transform the approach to government’s digital transformation. We will explore the concept of insourcing data management as a strategic imperative for the Australian Government, examining its potential to drive innovation, enhance service delivery, strengthen our nation's digital sovereignty, and overcome the risks and challenges of building a skilled data workforce.
