Chatbots: hot or not?

Details
For our October DataKind meetup, we’re talking all things chatbot.
You may have an Alexa at home, or manage your bank account via online chat, but what about the potential for chatbots to do good?
We’re talking to an exciting panel of guests who are all using chatbot technology to create positive change. As well as hearing about the highs and lows of their chatbot journeys, we’ll be delving into the ethical dilemmas thrown up by artificially intelligent assistants...
You might be a tech-head who's keen to learn how your skills could make a difference, a charity-bod who wants to know how to harness tech for a good cause, or just curious about where the weird and wonderful world of artificial intelligence will lead us - come along and get your questions answered!
We'll be joined by:
Rob Stanley - Wefarm, the world’s largest farmer-to-farmer, knowledge-sharing digital network
Ned Mortimer - Ally, a social enterprise helping housing associations, councils and charities to support vulnerable residents
Johanna Herman - CHAYN, a volunteer-led programme supporting survivors of gender-based violence
Sophie Hebdidge - Project Kitchen Table, who are helping young people to express themselves and improve their mental resilience
Kirsten Naude - The Children’s Society, working with vulnerable children and young people, and lobbying for policies to keep them safe
Schedule:
6.30pm - Arrive and sign in
7pm - Talks from guest speakers
7.45pm - Questions to the panel
8.30pm - Drinks and networking
9.15pm - Finish
