Our panelists will share their career journeys, how they apply analytics and AI in their current roles, and their perspectives on where the field is headed in the coming years.

🎙 Moderator
Marc Leprince, Senior Risk Consultant & Solutions Architect, and DataPhilly co-organizer, will lead the discussion. Marc graduated from Villanova in 2015 with a BA in MIS. Starting as a technology consultant at SAS in Raleigh, he grew familiar with configuring software solutions for Model Risk and Credit Risk business requirements. This later led to becoming an implementation architect in charge of installation, configuration and design of software installations, upgrades and integrations. Transitioning to pre-sales, he took on the role of a solutions architect for financial services companies. In the last 4 years, he has returned to consulting as a lead consultant and architect helping large banks and insurance companies implement, optimize, and streamline regulatory reporting software, processes, data pipelines. These help teams effectively use software recouping their IT investments and gain business agility and speed.
💡 Panelists
Sue McFarland Metzger is a professor of Management Information Systems at Villanova University. Prior to coming to Villanova, she was a Director of Global Support for SAP America, managing teams and processes that provided large scale, global support to critical customer situations. She received her MS in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and undergraduate degree from Bucknell University. At the Villanova School of Business, she teaches courses ranging from machine learning, data transformation, data management, business intelligence as well as programming. Sue has spearheaded the VU Women in Tech initiative at Villanova that hosts events for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to share experiences leading with technology, highlight opportunities for women to innovate technology, and motivate those who hesitate. Sue’s work has been recognized by the university community: The Wildcat Crossing Award (2017), faculty recipient of The Meyer Innovation & Creative Excellence Award (2016) and the Gerald A. Dougherty Endowed School of Business Faculty Award (2014).
Steve Dolan, the Director of Data Analytics for Aramark Sports + Entertainment. Steve has worked in the Sports + Entertainment industry for over a decade. His Data Analytics team is responsible for all data analysis including, but not limited to, pricing, strategic planning, predictive modeling, client consulting, and reporting. A native of Blue Bell, PA and proud alumnus of La Salle College High School, Dolan earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Saint Joseph's University in 2012 where he was selected as the university's Emerging Leader Award winner. Following his time at Saint Joseph's, he earned his MBA from Villanova University in 2017 with concentrations in Analytics and Finance. Dolan currently resides in Flourtown, PA with his wife, Stephanie, and their two children.
Michael Bryan serves the American Red Cross as a data scientist building models and their AI Governance process. He also teaches python, predictive analytics and machine learning as an adjunct professor at Saint Joseph's University. Open Environments, his consulting company, publishes open models on Harvard's dataverse platform. Michael has managed analytics organizations for three decades including executive level roles at Hilton Worldwide, Capital One, Nielsen and Sprint. Most recently he led Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies at The Vanguard Group, an investment firm managing more than $9 trillion in assets. Michael received his BA in Economics and Computational Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his MBA from Georgetown University concentrating on Quantitative Finance and also holds an MS in Applied Statistics from Penn State University.
