Scala Hacking with PMML: Hands-on
Details
Hands on Machine Learning with Scala, Python, PMML with Sebastian Harko. (Bring your laptop to hack along.)
Get your hands dirty on Thursday, November 6th @ Visier Headquarters with Sebastian Harko to learn how to use PMML, a cross-language machine learning file format, and get hacking with Python and Scala Machine Learning. Doors open at 6pm.
(This is a joint meetup between the Scala meetup (https://www.meetup.com/vancouver-scala/events/213841142/) and Machine Learning meetup (https://www.meetup.com/MachineLearning/events/213895482/).)
Please note this is a hands-on Meetup, so you are encouraged to bring your laptop and hack along with Sebastian as he walks us through PMML. We're working to have a Github available ahead of time where we can "cut and paste" our own solutions. Here's some details about our next meet:
----------------------------------
The Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML) is an XML-based file format that allows models to be exchanged between different machine learning platforms. Sebastian will walk us through the basics of exporting a model from Python to JPMML in Scala. This is especially useful for prototyping and learning in Python, where PMML can help scale in productionized Scala.
Note
Please note that if we max out our capacity we are clear to switch to a larger venue. Please RSVP and let us know ASAP! Save the date: Nov 6th @ 6pm. See you all soon.
