Machine Learning with Knime

Kako primijeniti data science kroz alat Knime proći ćemo kroz par use ceseova. Meetup će se sastojati od upoznavanja s alatom (da znamo kako raditi) i prolaskom kroz pripremu podataka za strojno učenje te izradu modela i implementaciju. Uz korisnike koje zanima hands-on kako izraditi data science projekt, meetup je zamišljen da se isto tako napredni data scientisti upoznaju s mogućnostima alata.

Kathrin nam dolazi iz centra za razvoja KNIMEa,Njemačka. Uz nju će tu biti i njezin hrvatski kolega Ivan Pažin.

Knime je ujedno i sponzor hrane i pića za vrijeme meetupa. Novost je da će nas sad dočekati i pizza u networking dijelu.

Presentation 1: An Overview of KNIME Software (Kathrin Melcher)

KNIME develops software to create and production data science using one easy and intuitive environment, enabling every stakeholder in the data science process to focus on what they do best.

In this presentation, Kathrin Melcher, who works as a data scientist at KNIME, will give an overview of KNIME Software, including the open-source tool KNIME Analytics Platform for creating data science applications and services and also the different deployment options you have when using KNIME Server.

Presentation 2: Practicing Data Science: A Collection of Case Studies (Kathrin Melcher, Ivan Pažin)

Kathrin Melcher and Ivan Pazin will share a collection of past data science projects. While the structure is often similar—data collection, data transformation, model training, deployment—each project required its own special trick, whether this was a change in perspective or a particular technique to deal with the special case and business questions. You’ll learn about demand prediction in energy, anomaly detection in IoT, risk assessment in finance, the most common applications in customer intelligence, social media analysis, topic detection, sentiment analysis, fraud detection, bots, recommendation engines, and more. Join us to learn what’s possible in data science.

Kathrin Melcher
Kathrin Melcher is a Data Scientist at KNIME. She holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Konstanz, Germany. She joined the evangelism team at KNIME in 2017 and has a strong interest in data science and machine learning algorithms. Kathrin enjoys teaching and sharing her data science knowledge with the community - for example in the book "From Excel to KNIME" - as well as on various blog posts and at training courses, workshops, and conference presentations.

Ivan Pažin
Ivan is a KNIMEr helping KNIME deliver better user experience. He graduated Mathematics with major in Statistics from University of Zagreb, Croatia.
