Workshop 1 - Building Generative Ai Apps with JavaScript & React (45 minutes)

This beginner-friendly workshop for JavaScript developers will cover the following topics:

1. How to get access to ChatGPT & OpenAI APIs
2. Experimentation with OpenAI Playground
3. Integrating ChatGPT into a web application
4. Example use cases and prompt engineering
5. Deploying your application to the cloud

Speaker: Aakash N S
Aakash is the CEO and Lead Instructor at Jovian. He holds a degree in Computer Science from IIT Bombay, and previously worked as a software engineer at Twitter. Courses taught by Aakash have over 5 million views on YouTube.

Workshop 2 - Building Generative AI Apps with Python & Streamlit (45 minutes)

This beginner-friendly workshop for Python developers will cover the following topics:

1. Accessing ChatGPT & OpenAI APIs using Python
2. Experimentation within the OpenAI Playground
3. Integration of ChatGPT into a Streamlit application
4. Exploration of various use cases and techniques for efficient prompt engineering
5. Deployment of your Streamlit application to the cloud

Speaker: Manish Babbar
Manish Babbar is an Economist and Data Science consultant. With expertise in building end-to-end solutions for product-based clients, he has a background in MLOps, NLP, and CI/CD deployment solutions.

Hackathon - Build a Generative AI App (24 hours)
Following the workshops, let your creativity flow in our electrifying 24-hour hackathon!

• Create: Design & develop your own Generative AI application using the day's learnings.
• Collaborate: Form teams or work solo, network with peers, and share ideas.
• Guidance: Experienced mentors will be available to provide insights and support.
• Compete: Showcase your project at the end for a chance to win exciting prizes!

Prizes include up to $100 in cloud credits and exclusive Jovian merchandise.

NOTE: This is a remote hackathon. After attending the workshops, you can leave the venue, and work on your idea remotely in collaboration with your team. You'll make a final submission by 7 PM, Sun, June 25th and results will be declared on the following day.

Who Should Participate?
Software developers, data scientists, AI enthusiasts, and anyone with a passion for creating, building, and innovating. Prior experience with Generative AI isn't necessary. Knowledge of programming JavaScript (for the first workshop) and Python (for the second workshop) is beneficial but not mandatory. A basic understanding of AI concepts will be helpful.
