NKU Big Data Series: Hadoop 101 presented by Cloudera

Hadoop is now the standard data store for big data. Open-source, with the ability scale on commodity servers, the Hadoop framework has become a very attractive solution for many lines of business. For the BI professional, Apache Hive offers a data warehouse infrastructure built on top of Hadoop. Plus, with HiveQL you’ll be writing in your familiar SQL-like language.

Cloudera is the company that has helped lead the Hadoop revolution. Now, they will be here to put it all together for us and show us how to take it to the next level, utilizing technologies including Spark and Impala. You’ll learn about the Hadoop ecosystem and how easy it is to get started.
