The Effect of Data on Human Evolution
In the past three decades, technology has generated digital data which was never imagined to grow to such volumes. It is estimated that by 2025 there will be 181 zettabytes of data. Data is more valuable than even gold. There is a change in human evolution and this change could be for good or bad. As were study and understand data, we realize it's not us that is controlling data, it's the other way around. We have not yet clearly understood how this is changing us, our universe. Data is more powerful than nuclear and yet we haven't still been able to contain it.
It seems the race is now between the humans and the data and this is affecting our human evolution. In this talk, I will take you through some perspectives on the effect of data on human evolution.
