Wednesday - Urban Mission Lambeth - Gay-Asexual 18+

This event will be for a group of 15 - 30 people. If the minimum amount is not reached the event will be postponed/cancelled and you will receive a refund.

You will be experiencing an Urban Mission in LAMBETH for 2 hours from 3pm until 5pm. After, we will head to a local bar or restaurant to socialise! This part of the event will not be covered by your payment on MeetUp and will require you to pay at the venue.

Note: ID will be required - so bring a driving license, UK ID card or passport ONLY. Also please be prepared to send in photo ID before the event takes place in order to be verified and booked.

What is going down on the day!
Urban Missions is an immersive, problem-solving game. Players must race against the clock to solve riddles and codes sent directly to their phones. These clues are sent through videos, voice notes, pictures and texts over WhatsApp. It'‘s your and your team’s job to solve them. Mission name: Bomb Disposal Description: The Agency has got wind of a possible plot to detonate an explosive in central London. They have identified some suspects and need your help to interrogate them, find the criminal mastermind behind the plot and dismantle the bomb. "‘The Agency’ has discovered that there has been a sale of military-grade explosives in South London. This constitutes a grave threat to the Capital. It is unclear who the criminals are and what they are planning… They need to be found and stopped before the unthinkable happens." The game takes place in public spaces, however, in normal circumstances one section of the Lambeth game takes place in a pub. However, due to covid restrictions, the pub section of both routes have been removed temporarily. Time: 2 hours Location: Lambeth Starting point: Leake Street, London SE1 7NN How To Play 1. Get into a team and download Whatsapp Gather your team of 2+ players and ensure you have a phone that is capable of receiving Whatsapp messages. 2. Begin your mission Upon booking your mission, you will receive instructions from The Agency by email. On the day of your mission, once at the start location, follow these instructions to start the mission. 3. Crack clues sent to your phone Receive clues and codes to solve using your surroundings. When you figure out a clue, message The Agency back with the answer to get the next clue. 4. Receive help from the Agency If you are struggling, you can ask for help. There are 2 hints for every clue. If you need to, message ‘HELP’ to get a hint. 5. Race against the clock. In each of our missions, there is one section where you will be under time pressure. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: Team of minimum 2 people (Essential) Fully charged mobile phone as the mission will take approximately 2 hours (Essential) Access to Whatsapp (Essential) Mobile data (Essential) Power bank/mobile charger (Recommended) Earphones (Recommended) HOW TO GET HELP FROM THE AGENCY: To answer the riddles sent by The Agency, players must use their surroundings. Once you know the answer, message it on Whatsapp. When you get the correct answer, you will receive the next clue. There are certain helpful messages you can send: “HELP” - provides you with hints (2 per clue). “STUCK” - gives the answer and you move on to the next clue. THE DAY OF THE MISSION: Download WhatsApp – the mission uses this app. You will be put into groups – as the clues are challenging, you need a minimum of 2 players per team. Once you have arrived, you will need one person from each team to message The Agency with the start message. Then, you will create a team name, allowing other team members to join the team and receive all the messages to their phones too. THE SCORING SYSTEM: Your game is timed and you can receive time penalties. There is a time penalty for every: incorrect answer – 5 minute “HELP” – 10 minute “STUCK” – 30 minute At the end of the game, you will receive your overall time, including penalties.
