Albany Institute of Art & History

Details
It's time for our first event! Let's meet at the Albany Institute of Art and enjoy some of their exhibits! The one I am most looking forward to is the Enchanting Threads, the Art of Sally Mavor (see image above) and The Hudson River School: Landscape Paintings from the Albany Institute. I haven't been to the Institute in years, but I remember being impressed the last time I was there and thinking what a gem it is to have in our area.
After our time at the Institute, we can head over to Stacks Espresso Bar on Lark Street for a warm drink and time to chat with one another.
We will meet in the lobby of the Art Institute at 1:30. From there, we can wander the museum as a group or at your own pace, whatever works for you. Once we are done there, we can head over to the Daily Grind for tea or coffee and a snack and maybe get to know each other a bit. People can stay as long as they like.
This is all a big experiment. I am an introvert who can be extroverted when necessary. However, I am not interested in making anyone talk or participate more than they are willing to. So come as you are and be you and we will see what happens!
Meetup only allows 10 guests to RSVP if the host does not pay for a membership. We can really have as many people as want to attend. If the event says it is full, please know you are welcome to come.
Check the Institute's website for information on parking.
Everyone will pay their own entrance fee of $12.
Can't make it? Don't worry! There will be more events!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
