East London Singles Small Group Chat (Victoria Park area venue)

Hello hello, Sam here - I've been hosting this community since Aug 2024 - if you're new to this group let me highlight the general theme for you :)

This is a space for people who are deepening their self awareness when it comes to dating. We understand that taking accountability for our past decisions and learning/growing from them is the best way to cultivate healthier relationships going forward.

It's the only way to break the patterns of behaviour that have been tripping us up. (Eg losing our sense of self, putting the other person's needs first, struggling to set boundaries, ignoring red flags, chasing nonchalant people, always going for "that type" that never works out for us etc).

Reflecting on how we co-created unhealthy dynamics in the past, shifts us from feeling helpless to being more in control of our future.

Otherwise you run the risk of blaming the universe (Eg "all the good ones are taken" or "I just seem to attract takers/lovebombers") which is a subconscious attempt to outsource responsibility for your situation. It lets you off the hook.

Once you notice your part to play, take responsibility for it and commit to changing your default behaviour, you start to see all the possibilities open up for you!

This event will be for a small group (up to around 12 people) to simply engage in a discussion about past relationships, what we've learned, dating in healthier ways and deepening our commitment to understanding ourselves better so we can grow and attract partners that are right for us.

Bring questions, share insights, perhaps have your perspective changed. This is a singles event so yes you may even meet someone special who is interested in this stuff too :) I'll aim for roughly equal men and women attendees, depending on RSVPs.

This will be held in a semi-private room at a coffee shop or pub 5 minutes walk from Victoria park. Exact location will be shared with confirmed attendees. RSVP if interested and look out for a DM to confirm details :)
