What weβre about
Every Wednesday Northampton's finest volunteers get together for a day of nature and animal based activities to help along our community farm project.
Our farm is set on 28 acres of field and woodland. From the farm we host a variety of activities, clubs and socials all with the community at heart and we need YOU to help us along with our day to day activities to keep us running smoothly. Jobs include; poo picking the alpaca paddocks (and a chit chat), planting trees, help with the allotment, woodland/land maintainance, farm tidies and whatever else the farm needs at the time.
Our volunteer days are a day of coming together with other members of the community, getting back in to nature, soaking up the sun (finally) and getting the job done.
Lunch and tea breaks are aplenty and we always break together for a chit chat, tea and a nibble around the firepit. Our volunteer day usually starts at 10am and ends at 3pm but there is no pressure to stay longer or work harder than you feet fit - we take a "listen to your body" approach around here.
If you feel that you are at a lack for in person connection and/or the great outdoors, Hideaway Wood Farm has it's doors warmly open to you. Some of our volunteers come back every week and some of our volunteers just pop by when they feel like it, either way, Wednesdays on the farm are always a hub of laughter and connection.
Pop down and say hi (don't forget to bring your wellies and a packed lunch!) βΊοΈ
