Canterburys Statues

On February 25th this year Queen Camilla unveiled the new statue of playwright Aphra Behn outside the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge. Aphra was the latest of many statues in the city commemorating famous individuals who have changed the city and the world in one way or another. This walk will take us to see eight of these statues and will reveal the fascinating stories behind the men and women who are represented in bronze, stone and other enduring materials
