Photos from a previous hike on this loop: March 2015 hike.

Please change your RSVP to "not going" if you change your mind about coming.

We often spread out during a hike and I will stop periodically to regroup if I haven't seen the people behind me for a while, especially at intersections and any place people might get lost. People who get ahead of me should do the same.

Go here for the Ten Essentials. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_Essentials) Not everyone brings all ten for every hike, but everyone should at least bring extra water, extra food, extra clothing, and a head lamp or flashlight on every hike.

Facilities on the hike: toilets at the trailhead, Rodeo Beach, and Marine Mammal Center.

We will go off-trail to hike from Tennessee Beach to the top of Hill 88 for the views. Then we will descend to Rodeo Beach and check out old anti-ship gun batteries along the way. Finally, we will visit the Marine Mammal Rescue Center before we loop back to the beginning of the hike.

This GPS track for the hike shows that it's over 9 miles round trip and over 1600 feet elevation gain: Tennessee Valley to Hill 88 and Marine Mammal Center.

Here are Google Maps directions to the Tennessee Valley Trailhead.
Take 80 to 37 (580 also works, but requires a toll) to 101 South. Then take the CA-1 exit towards Stinson Beach. After that, turn left in about half a mile onto Tennessee Valley Road and drive to the parking lot.
