Kirtan and Community Picnic at Dawn Retreat Center - Free

Details
Register for Food and Event at dawnretreatcenter.org
Typically 40-50 people at our events outside of meetup.
We invite you to be deeply moved by the sense of peace, joy, and connection of collective singing called Kirtan.
Michelle Peck and Amanda Foster will lead us in a deep meditation through the communal practice of call-and-response singing that offers a unique way to connect with the divine, others, and oneself.
After the Kirtan, you are invited to bring a dish and join us for the Spring into Summer Picnic directly after the Kirtan.
All are welcome regardless of ability to bring something! Electricity will be available for crockpots or warmers and refrigeration will also be available.
All ages can participate but childcare will also be available. Register each child by age.
What should I bring?
Kirtan is most often experienced sitting on the ground or a blanket so bring a blanket if you wish and chairs will be available. Sturdy shoes and a water bottle are also a good idea but there are places to ground yourself barefoot if you choose including a beautiful stream and waterfall.
Snacks and water will be provided. We will be in outdoors in nature and weather can vary so consider, depending on the time of year, sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, blanket, gloves, coat, etc. To check the weather use Cleveland, SC as your most accurate forecast but understand that mountain weather can change quickly.
Inclement Weather
In the invent of inclement weather, any cancellations will be updated on the website, social media and via email, typically no sooner than 2 days prior (mountain weather is fickle) regarding the cancellations.
If you have any questions at all do not hesitate to email us at info@dawnretreatcenter.org.
