St Albans 'cathedral city' Day Trip by train on Saturday 4th March

Details

Join us on a day trip by train to the beautiful and historic ‘cathedral city’ of St Albans, which is only 20 minutes away from St Pancras International Train Station in London.

St Albans is a captivating destination in the county of Hertfordshire, just 25 miles northwest of London. St Albans has a fine blend of medieval and modern architecture. It is officially a cathedral city. However, due to its small size, it is usually described by travel writers as a beautiful and vibrant market town. In the town centre tourists flock to the stunning cathedral, which is the oldest site of continuous Christian worship in Britain. We will visit the cathedral on this trip, which has free entry.

St Albans has an abundance of very impressive Tudor buildings and elegant Georgian houses. The 15th century Clock Tower and the Saturday street market, which dates back to the 9th century, will also be highlights on this day trip.

Attendees will have the option of exploring a beautiful lakeside section of the town's 100-acre Verulumium park and the charming St Michael's Village on the outskirts of St Albans.

IINCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF £24:

• Return train travel tickets from London to St Albans.
